AMPPE’s Submission to the Federal Pre-Budget Consultations

AMPPE is proud to present our recommendations to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance as part of the 2025 federal pre-budget consultations. Our submission highlights urgent needs and bold opportunities for Canada’s Rocky Mountain national parks and the communities that depend on them.

From wildfire recovery in Jasper, to winter tourism development, to long-overdue investments in infrastructure, transparency, and support for small businesses, AMPPE’s proposals emphasize sustainable growth, visitor experience, and community resilience. These recommendations are rooted in the belief that Canada’s mountain parks are not only natural treasures, but also vital economic and cultural assets that deserve strategic, long-term investment.
