AMPPE had a fantastic time at this year’s Calgary Stampede, where we once again connected with federal and provincial politicians. Among the notable attendees were Alberta’s two new MPs, Corey Hogan, the MP for Calgary Confederation, and Eleanor Olszewski, who is now serving as the Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience, as well as the Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada.
Minister Olszewski expressed a keen interest in leading initiatives in Jasper and collaborating with AMPPE and other stakeholders to rejuvenate tourism in the area. Additionally, MP Hogan serves as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, bringing valuable insights into our discussions regarding sustainable tourism development. We are excited about the potential for revitalizing Jasper through new partnerships and innovative strategies that prioritize sustainable tourism. The interactions at the Calgary Stampede highlight our ongoing commitment to fostering relationships that support the health and prosperity of our mountain parks.
